We watched football (of course), played games, read books and prepared the meal together. Coleman made us all pictures of hand turkeys for our plates. We even had a sparking cider toast! It was fun! The only problem of the day was when I requested that everyone put on a nice clean shirt for the big event! Connor and TJ actually have camo shorts on with those shirts. They informed me that I only said a nice shirt--never mentioned that they had to wear nice pants or even match for that matter! I had to admit they were right--and they looked really nice above the table--and that is all that really counts, I guess! I will have to remember that next year!

Happy Thanksgiving!
We had a thanksgiving with just our little family for the first time. My parents went to Detroit to visit my sister Erin (her husband Jed is in medical school). So--we got together last sunday with our family that lives here for a pre-Thanksgiving celebration. Brad's family live too far away, so that left just us on the actual day! It felt a bit strange, but it ended up being nice and relaxing (well--sort of--I mean can you really relax with 5 little boys?)

Haha! that's hilarious about their camo shorts. Those boys have such fun personalities. Your Thanksgiving celebration sounds very nice and fun. Thanks for letting us steal Mom and Dad this year. :)
Count on Connor and TJ to find the loop holes. :) I actually think that is a very funny story... their wives will get a laugh out of that some day. I love your family, sis.
Melanie - I am learning from your blog how to be a mom of all boys. You are a great mom!! Jackson is only three and refuses to get "dressed up" for anything so I feel your pain.
