Filling the Manger with Good Deeds and Love

One of our (many) traditions during the Christmas season is reading the "The Last Straw" (click for printable copy) and then filling our little manager up just like the McNeal family. It is a sweet story and activity for my family that helps bring the Christmas spirit into our home. With each act of love and service we do for another family member we place a peice of straw in the manger to make a soft bed for the baby Jesus. The goal is to have it full and soft by Christmas Eve.

"Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." Matthew 25:40
