Saturday we loaded up the boys and some friends and drove to the Atlanta Temple Open House. After two years of remodeling it is finally finished. We were able to walk through and show our children the inside of the temple and hear a tour guide explain why we have temples and why they are so special. It was BEAUTIFUL!!
If you live in the Altlanta area you should go! Find the address and more information here. Hurry because this is the last week and then it will be dedicated and no longer open to the public for tours.
A family picture on the steps.
Notice that Cannon is very proud of a pinecone he found:) The boys and a few friends who tagged along My sweet boys
The resulting tears when we asked Cannon to please put down the pnecone so we could see his cute face.
It was a joy to tour the temple with my boys. The temple is a sacred place that is very close to my heart. This little video explains why we have temples (if you can't see it click here for the link):

I have been to this temple. How nice to have it remodeled---and especially to have your boys see the beautiful inside.
Just reading an amazing book about temples...House of Glory by S. Michael Wilcox. I have learned a lot! I love the temple...when I go everything comes into focus and I can see life through a clear, smudged lens!
PixieGirl,
I have that book in my book shelf but have never read it! I will have to take it down and get started:) Thanks for the idea!!
What a great experience for your family, Melanie. I am so glad that you take the time and expend the effort to give them the opportunity for these spiritual experiences. You are great parents! Loved the fun pics! And I loved the temple video you linked in.
