Sometimes life just gets in the way

I always have BIG beautiful plans for this little blog.  I write awesom posts in my head all the time BUT they rarely make it here in real life:)
I get busy with one of these many other important activities...

* being a taxi driver (and driving insturcter to one--yikes!) to a crew of very busy boys,
*listening to long and silly little boy stories and trying to master (understand) teenage tongue
* making something yummy in my kitchen,
*doing the piles of dishes that enevitably appear
*sorting, washing, folding, and putting away laundry (again and again and again)
*curling up with my scriptures and other excellent reading (love that)
*30 miutes of daily exercise (don't really love that but it keeps me sane)
*rushing to the next orthodontic, doctor or dentist apt for someone
*chatting with a sister or friend on the phone while picking up my home (sweet)
*scrubbing bathrooms and sweeping floors (always)
*a few minutes when the boys are finally all in bed  to catch up with my sweet hubby

and the list goes on!
I know you can relate:)   This poor little blog gets pushed to the back burner quite often, I am afraid, but to those of you who still check in --THANK YOU  sweet friends and--I promise I have some good stuff coming soon!
*Next up (maybe tomorrow?!):  5 Ideas to get ready for Fall!
Do you have any happy Autumn plans?
I would love to hear about them! I LOVE this time of year, don't you?!

PS A very inspiring message here.

Hi Melanie,

I check your blog weekly and love following you and your five boys. I love the message that you shared the link for. My brother is actually the one who did this one and many other of the mormon messages. My son left yesterday for the Guatemala MTC. He got to call from the airport. It was so good to talk to him and hear his voice. You could hear in his voice how happy he is. I've been such an emotional wreck since he left three weeks ago, but felt peace after talking to him last night. Hope you are doing well.

Take care,

I absolutely loved that picture of the boys, too. Every time I see pictures of them, I just can't believe how big they are getting.
