Really, I think these are the best books for early reading. They build confidence and excitement. I only heard of them for my last two boys but I wish all my little readers would have had them. Both Bridger and Cannon would carry their little box of Bob books everywhere they went and read them constantly to themselves or anyone who would listen:)
They are awesome!
And before you know it your little reader will be onto bigger and better books...like Dr Suess:)
