Sunday Evening Surprise

Happy Birthday Daddy!

We threw a successful surprise party for my Dad's 60th birthday. He was truely surprised, it was so fun! We had all of his siblings, neices and nephews and special friends crammed into my parents home! We served ham, rolls, ceasar salad, augratin potatoes, and bithday cake of course! Everyone brought a letter for him to go in a scrapbook Mindy put together and we watched a slide show of pictures of his life so far. It was really fun! We had a HUGE turnout! Everyone loves my Dad. He is just one of those people that you love to be around. He geniunely cares about others and is a man without guile. I love him so much, can you tell?

I didn't get the best pictures, I was too busy serving food and keeping my boys from poking the cake! Darn it! Luckily as you can see in the pictures my cute sister Mindy (who is great with child) got lots of good ones that she will share sith me!

That was a great party! I got lots of pictures too...I'll put them on that disk. Everyone really does love Dad, huh? He is a favorite wherever he goes. He has a special way of making others feel comfortable and important...what a gift!

Haha... that is funny, I am taking pics in all of your pictures. :) That was a fun party! we do have a great dad. I love how Coleman's fingers are in the picture of the cake. He kept wanting to take a finger full of frosting all night... it was so hard for him to wait until we sang to Dad to have some. :)
