Almost everyday, Cannon proudly presents me with a handful of flowers squished in his chubby little hand that he has picked himself for me...and my heart instantly fills with happiness until I am sure it is about to burst.
Then the feeling washes over me that...
I am so blessed to be a Mother.
So blessed to have 5 boys to love and cherish.
And all of a sudden I know that the loud and chaotic days, sleepless nights, sticky fingerprints, piles of laundry and constant stack of dishes left by(always) hungry boys is really just a
beautiful gift.
I know call me crazy!

Who can resist a smile like that! Thanks for the beautiful reminder, Melanie.
This is such a sweet post!! Yup call you crazy. You have a great attitude to such chaos. I love your blog and The Sister's Cafe also.
That was such a sweet post. Squished flowers would melt my heart, too. I love that picture of Cannon. He looks so cute! And big! I miss not getting to build my relationship with him like your other boys. I'll just have to work harder when I do see him. :) PS I can't wait for you to come... just one more week!
What a tender picture. I am sure I mentioned to you how Josh loved to pick flowers (mostly the dandelion variety) for me. I always told him that I needed a kiss on the cheek with for each flower he picked and he was so happy oblige---I love being MOM too.
(Getting excited to see you!)
