We loaded up bright and early Wednesday Morning. It was just me and my boys this time, Brad had a bussiness trip this week and we will meet us there next week! This was going to be a huge adventure and my first roadtrip without my hubby! Our GPS told us it was going to be a VERY long trip, but the boys were so excited!
I think a new car helped:) I drove my van for 10 years this month and I was ready for a change!
And Connor was looking forward to helping me drive! I loved it!
Guess Where?
Nebraska and Wyoming are pretty bleak...not much to photograph, but they did get a shot of this funky rock!
The road ahead seemed to never end and I did think to myself that this is the last time I am ever going to drive to Utah from Tennessee! Although next year I will probably forget.....the price of flying 7 of us to Utah will help me forget! LOL!
Finally we made it!! Grammy and Papa were up waiting with warm soup, fresh fruit and brownies!
It was so good to be home, I almost cried! No matter how old you are, there is nothing more comforting than the arms of your parents:) Happy happy happy!!

Hi Mel,
So glad you and your 5 boys made it to Utah safely. I've had to drive to Newport Beach with my five boys and no husband and I thought that was a long drive! It's so nice to have a 16-year to help drive. I hope you guys have a great time while you are here. Take care.

You are a brave soul!
Yay! We are so glad to have you here! I love that picture of Connor driving. He looks handsome and mature! Did he really used to be my LITTLE nephew?
that was so fun to see all those pictures. It was wonderful to reconnect with you and the boys - that time is just priceless. I love them all so much - it's hard being so far away. Thank you so much for making that loooooong drive to be with family! It is very appreciated! :) And I agree with what you said about going home... it's always so comforting and happy!
Just have to comment - a suburban is a must for a house of boys! My MIL had five boys and that extra room is nice!
