Merry Christmas!

Here we are on Christmas Eve, having our traditional 'Chicken a la King' dinner. (Our family has had this dinner for generations on Christmas eve, symbolic of Christ the King) Grandpa and Grandma Sterzer joined us. It was so fun!

After dinner we read the Christmas story from the bible that Great Grandma Ririe brought back from Jerusalem. Connor was Joseph, TJ and Coleman were wisemen, Bridger was a shephard, I was Mary (of course--being the only girl!) and our little baby Jesus(Cannon) fell asleep--so a rolled up blanket had to fill in.

After the nativity the boys performed Christmas songs. This is Coleman singing 'Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer' with his ukelalei Brad and I brought him back from Hawaii. Future American Idol contestant!

Christmas pajamas! They boys could not wait to open the one traditional gift (PJs) on Christmas eve. They immediately changed into them and wanted to go to bed--shocking behavior for our boys! We talked them into singing some Christmas carols and listening to a few of our favorite Christmas stories first. Then they set cookies and milk out for Santa, along with carrots for the reindeer and hopped off to bed!

Christmas Morning!! We always line up youngest to oldest before we run in to see what Santa brought!

Connor and TJ got snow skis! I am not sure why I took picture of the helmets and not the skis--but anyway they were very excited to have their own equipment and not have to rent this year. Santa brought Coleman the digital drum set you can see in the background. I am not sure what he was thinking?? Coleman sure loves them and get a lot of use out of them!

Grandpa reading Bridger his new fire truck book!

Opening presents! We had a great Christmas--we hope you all did too!

Fun pictures! It looks like you had a great Christmas and the nativity picture was my favorite. I got your comment on my cooking blog and didn't have your email address so I have to leave you a comment here...to tell you that I have NOTHING on your recipes (you are one of those gourmet cooks I always look up to) and I would owe you forever if you sent some of your tried-and-true recipes my way. I'm always looking for something different to make for my family. So email me (melgunnell@hotmail.com) if/when you have any good ones to send.
