Brad and I were engaged!!
*Don't mind the dates stamped on the side of the pictures. The camera was wrong!

He arranged for my parents to plan a family night out to Temple Square. My Dad told us he wanted to treat his 5 girls (wife and 4 daughters) to dinner downtown. (My only brother was on a mission for our church.) So we were just walking thru the temple square, when out steps BRAD..looking as dashing and handsome as ever!

It was very sweet and perfect evening,
that I will never forget!
So this afternoon, I will be making a quick dinner for our boys to enjoy without us, and spending some time getting all dolled up for an evening out. I will be ready to be swept off on a hot date with my still handsome and dashing Brad. I can't wait!! And I think we will go to Chilis!

Very sweet you two! And you haven't aged a bit! It's so fun that your family was there to "capture" the moment in pictures. How sad that I would have to go back through my journal to find the date we were engaged--I REALLY need to cash in on that memorable date as well! Hope you have a wonderful night out!
Happy Anniversary!! I love that story of your engagement! I hope you had a blast on your hot date! And Valentines is this week, what a romantic time of year for you two.
Happy 13th Anniversary! I hope you had a wonderful time with your sweetheart celebrating. Thanks for sharing your "love story".
What a sweet engagement story! I love how he surprised you. Thanks for sharing!
I remember thinking that was the best engagement ever when it happened! What a sweet husband. Hopefully you had fun at dinner. :)
P.S. And who is that HOT girl in the background of the kissing picture? Those jeans look too good pulled up around her underarms. :) Too bad I wasn't Baba with the hot legs!
That was SO cute!! You and Brad are such a wonderful couple - truly a match made in heaven! :) I love you two! And I remember how exciting that was to see my big sister be proposed to! I think I was 17 at the time... so romantic!!
I just went back to see what Mindy was referring to... HAHA!! I am dying! I don't see any hot legs... all I see are huge puffy white socks!!!! I LOVE looking back on old pics like that -too funny! All that matters though was that YOU looked fabulous, Mel! what a babe!!
This is an event we all should celebrate! Brad has been around so long and is so much a part of our family! Kudos to you, Melanie, for attracting him!! Love you guys, Dad
This brought back lots of fun memories of you and Brad dating. This was such a happy day for us all - we were so excited to have Brad become a member of our family. He has been a wonderful son to us. And, I agree, he is a very romantic guy!
Love,
Mom
