I can't believe it has taken me all day to get this menu up. For some reason my goal to eat a more whole grain, plant based diet is making meal planning a little tricky. With my parents coming this week, I want the meals to be nice. My Dad loves a nice ham dinner, so I included that for Sunday dinner.
Thursday--vegetarian Tiki Masala (with cauliflower)over brown basmati rice, fresh pineapple
Friday--Treat my parents to some good ole Southern BBQ @BONES
Sunday--Pinapple Glazed Ham, Leek and Potato Au Gratin, Spinach salad with pomegranate and pine nuts, and glazed chinese green beans
I have linked to my recipe blog for any of the recipes that are already posted. The other recipes I will post if they are worthy, because we only post the best on Sisterscafe :)

Thank you, Melanie, for sharing your menu. It sounds yummy & inspires me to plan & cook! Have fun with your parents. I miss you!
I really love that you share your weekly menus and recipes, I want to try and do the "word of wisdom" diet better as well so I am glad to see some healthy menu ideas, LOVE your website, thanks SO MUCH for sharing!
This is one of my 2010 goals as well! All sounds so yummy...enjoy your parents this weekend!
Yum! Have a fun visit with your parents :)
A little bbq suggestion...have u tried Rib & Loin on Brainerd Rd yet? Their sauce is awesome (you can buy it there too) and I think it's better than Bones.
Oh, thank you so much! I am really going to try out your menu this week. I am trying to get in a better dinner routine. We had the wraps from your website before and loved them!
I love seeing people’s weekly menus- very inspiring! I was just looking through your archives and your family is so gorgeous!
I agree, very inspiring!
Cool Mel! What is funny is that we are eating similiar stuff as you this week! I made the Ribollitta last night...and I plan on Tuscan Lentil soup later in the week. Also I have the wraps on the menu this week too!! I'm so excited to see what you have planned for dinners from now on...it will be inspiring! I can't wait to hear more about the au gratin leek and potatoe... wow, yum!
I love that you said you would only post the other recipes if they were 'worthy' - so cool! :) Love you sis! Have a GREAT time with Mom and Dad! I just realized, reading your post, that they are in TN now and that is why they weren't answering their phones tonight. You are a lucky gal! :)
Oh I love this. I hope that you will continue to post menus throughout the year. I have really enjoyed Sisterscafe and Kevin especially loves it when I frequent your cooking blog. By the way, I would LOVE a good recipe for guacamole. I know you probably just "throw it together" but mine has never turned out well.
