Early Christmas Gifts

Some early Christmas gifts have got me smiling:)

The above picture was taken by my 11year old with my new iphone! (My boys know how to use it because they have ipod touches. I am still clueless) I was so excited to find out (from a fellow PTA Santa Shop helper) last friday that Best Buy was offering a limited number of iphones free of charge with a 2 year contract. My AT&T account was out of contract and I was ready to renew anyway, so it was perfect!!
An early Christmas gift!

And Cannon received a hand-me-down giant Dora the Explorer coloring book from some girls at church that "outgrew" it. Cannon LOVES miss Dora and has been coloring her every chance he gets!

So unlike Cannon, I have not had much time to play with my new "gift" yet but I will as soon as my Christmas 'To Do' list is done (almost there:) In the meantime, I would love to know...
What are your favorite iphone "aps"?

You don't know me but I follow your blog because you always share yummy meals and fun tips (your family message center, weekly menu, cleaning list with treats for kiddos). Congrats on your new iPhone...I love Words with Friends, Cozi calendar, and Angry Birds.

I love my iphone! I am not a big phone game kind of person, but there are a couple of other (more practical apps) that I LOVE. One of them is the weather channel. LOVE IT!!! I look at it every single morning. I also really like the Mormon Channel app. You can listen to conference, scriptures, the Ensign, etc, etc. The other favorite I have is the Gospel Library app. You can look up YW manuals, Sunday School, RS, etc. Okay one more....I also love the Shazam app. If you are in your car (or wherever) and you hear a song that you love but don't know who sings it or what it is called, no problem! Just hit your Shazam app and it will listen to the song and tell you all the info on it. It's pretty amazing!

Wow! I'm going to download some of these apps that your friends recommended! I hardly have any, other than games to entertain the kids in times of chaos! I do LOVE the gospel library though & LDS scriptures. It's so much better than lugging all those heavy scriptures to church. Have fun! We got your cute card today :)

LOVE ww app-- :) And I love mint.com (it's a budgeting and finance app that keeps everything in one place). I also downloaded the kindle app from amazon so I could download books--actually just put some kids books on there (poky little puppy and Curious George ones) so we could have something to read together if we were in a place waiting with no toys...)

Other fave apps? Netflix is nice so we can watch movies on the go...and BargainBin has discounted or free apps (and updates them when they price-reduce). so you can find a good assortment of new apps all the time.

There is a really cool app through Omaha Steaks that times your meat, based on thickness and cut, according to the doneness you like, and tells you when it would achieve that-- keeps the timers for it and everything. It's pretty incredible!

So many fun ones!
