Elf Fun

We are a little crazy for the movie Elf around here. My family loves to quote Buddy the Elf and I hear these phrases all season long--from my husband, down to my little 5 year old--so funny!

What's a Christmas-gram? I WANT ONE!

You did it! Congratulations! World's best cup of coffee! Great job, everybody!

Cotton-headed ninny-muggins.

You sit on a throne of lies...

He's an angry elf.

The best way to spread Christmas Cheer, is singing loud for all to hear.

Sounds like somebody needs to sing a Christmas Carol.

"code word'Santa's got a brand new bag' "

" I just like to smile, smiling's my favorite"

"We elves try to stick to the four main food groups:

candy, candy canes, candy corns and syrup."

Over the weekend I made a big pancake breakfast and I was teasing the boys that they are not elves and syrup is not a food group at out house!

We do have a little Elf on Shelf this year named Skittles--he has a love for syrup too:)
Do you have an Elf?  This is our first year and it is so much fun!!

Everyday my two little boys wake up so excited to see where he is now. We have found him all over.

One morning much to their delight he got into a big bag of skittles, his name sake!  YUM!

Nothing like sugar to kick off your day!

So I would love to hear about the adventures of your elves!
Please share!

Hey Melanie! We have been having a blast with our little elf Maggie this year. We have found her have a dart gun war with some of her friends, she has been locked outside, found her buckled up in the car, toilet papered herself to the tree, in my boys underwear drawer, taking a marshmallow bath wearing headphones listening to an iPod, drive in movie with her buddies, playing battleship against a friend. Hope this helps! They are Very busy! Merry Christmas!

This our first year with an elf too. Ours is named Elphaba (from wicked I love that name). We live in California and last week we had some warm low 70's weather, nice enough to wear long sleeves and no coat and Elphaba ended up in the freezer during that time because she missed the cold of the North Pole! We also made a point to put her in both girls bedrooms to remind them that she is watching even when you are supposed to be sleeping and they loved waking up to find her in their rooms. Have fun with your elf and Merry Christmas!

I think my little boys would love having an elf. Maybe I should break down and get one, too. :) Your pictures are adorable. And I can imagine your boys quoting elf exactly! What cute boys.

The movie Elf is an absolute favorite of mine! I can watch it at least once or twice a season and crack up every time. This year I made a whole event of it and made Buddy the Elf's Maple Syrup Spaghetti for dinner while we watched the movie and then made gingerbread houses and homemade ornaments! It was so much fun that I think I'll make this a yearly Christmas tradition!
