Happy Birthday Tanner Johnn

Where has the time gone? Can my little boy really be 12 already?! I sometimes can't believe that he has been mine for so long. It feels like yesterday that he was a sweet little bundle in my arms! Now he is still sweet but not so little! He is such a charming boy--and very adored by his brothers! Bridger especially hangs on his every word and can hardly wait until 2:45 everyday when he can ride his bike to the end of the road and wait for TJ to get off the bus! Last night I stayed up late blowing up balloons to fill the floor of his room and hang streamers while he slept. Even though I was tired, and my bed was calling, I plugged along hoping my silly little efforts would make him feel special and cherished. My heart was filled with so much love for this son of mine. I fondly remembered the first time I held him in my arms, introducing him to his big brother Connor, how he never walked any where when he was little (always RUNNING) and many other sweet little memories floated through my mind. Even though his strong personality has given me some challenges, how blessed I am to be his Mother! I set my alarm clock just a little early so I could make his favorite breakfast (roll up pancakes) and be the first to wish him a Happy Birthday! He was so happy and appreciative. We talked about checking him out of school for our traditional birthday lunch and where he wanted to go.... Subway, just like last year:) Such an easy going guy! The little boys were in preschool so it was just the two of us this time. It is so rare that I have one on one time with him that I really enjoyed it! At 4pm we headed into Georgia to meet Brad at a Mcdonalds fairly close to his office --not for dinner (ugh) but so he could grab the Birthday boy and a friend of his choice (he choose his big brother Connor) for a trip to Finley Stadium for the Atlanta BRAVES game!! They had awesome tickets right behind home plate! I just talked to them and they are having a blast! (excuse the lovely Iphone shot--Connor was happy--even though this pic doesn't seem like it lol) Tomorrow the celebrations continue...can't wait! Happy Birthday TJ my darling boy! xoxoxoxo

Happy Birthday Tanner Johnn

He was born 10 years ago today! 10 YEARS!! I can't believe that he has been in my arms and a part of my life that long. Time really does just fly by. It seems like yesterday that he was just a baby fresh from heaven.

I remember his birth day...it was a hard delivery and I was so excited and relieved to finally meet him! His big blue eyes and chubby cheeks melted my heart. I was immediately smitten! He filled our home with so much joy!! Connor loved having a brother!
He had a lot of spunk and passion as a toddler!!

Here he is at 4 years old--he loved that spikey hair!

We have REALLY loved our first 10 years with our TJ! He is such a wonderful guy to be around. He is so happy, his eyes sparkle, and his smile lights up a room. He has a lot of heart & passion-- you can see it in the way he lives his life. He is a very good little athlete. He loves playing and watching (he is very knowledgeable on BYU sports, NFL and NBA) sports. Most importantly he has a true love for others and a desire to do what is right! He is very kind and considerate. And he LOVES babies and little ones! He is a great big brother! I could go on and on!

I sure love this boy!

Happy Birthday my darling son!

TJ the Bear

Brad and I enjoyed a little one-on-one ( or should I say two-on-one?) time with our Tanner Johnn at the cub scout Blue and Gold Banquet.

This is TJ pinning me when he recieved his Bear award! I have lots of pins now between Connor and TJ. Those boys are ambitious little scouters!

We are so proud of him for working so hard and earning his Bear! I was thinking about TJ and what a wonderful person he is. I feel so blessed to have him as my son!

One of the things I love the most about TJ is his kind and loving heart. He is so good with his little brothers. He is always fun and happy in our family!

And he LOVES babies!! This is TJ and his newest cousin Jack.

He has always had a soft spot inhis heart for little ones! Here he is reading to Cannon one year ago...

What a sweet boy I have!
