Altanta Temple Open House

Saturday we loaded up the boys and some friends and drove to the Atlanta Temple Open House. After two years of remodeling it is finally finished. We were able to walk through and show our children the inside of the temple and hear a tour guide explain why we have temples and why they are so special. It was BEAUTIFUL!!

If you live in the Altlanta area you should go! Find the address and more information here. Hurry because this is the last week and then it will be dedicated and no longer open to the public for tours.

A family picture on the steps.

Notice that Cannon is very proud of a pinecone he found:) The boys and a few friends who tagged along My sweet boys
The resulting tears when we asked Cannon to please put down the pnecone so we could see his cute face.
It was a joy to tour the temple with my boys. The temple is a sacred place that is very close to my heart. This little video explains why we have temples (if you can't see it click here for the link):

Our Temple

A trip to Utah is not complete without a day at beautiful Temple Square.

Sweet cousins--one cute girl and six boys! My goodness, boys must run in the family!!

In the Joseph Smith Memorial Building the boys were standing in awe of the huge statue when one of the guides told them that Goliath is believed to be 3 inches taller. Grandpa had just told them the story of David and Goliath a few days earlier and he is master storyteller!

I had to get a shot with my boys in the very spot their Daddy proposed to me almost 15 years ago. Look what we have done!!

I think the boys favorite part of the day was riding the train (really just the public transit TRAX)

We went with Grandma Beth and Aunt Judy, but somehow they managed to stay out of all the pictures. Thanks for the happy day--we love you!!

Sweet Weekend

Friday we were off to Idaho--to go to the Twin Falls Temple with Mom and Deloy. It was Deloy's first time. His 4 sisters and their spouses were there too. It was a very special expereince, we were honored to be there and share in it. The Twin Falls Temple is brand new and very beautiful!

We had such fun staying with my Uncle Ron and Aunt Laura while we were there. They kindly babysat the little boys while we were at the temple. The boys had soo much fun with their cousins! Friday night we went to the Burley High School homecoming football game with them that night. They lost--but it was still fun! Saturday we went to a few soccer games!

On the way back Brad dropped me off at my parents home--so I could join my sisters and Mom in attending the world wide Relief Society Meeting. (If you missed it --you can see it here)This is a yearly tradition I share with these women that I love so much! This years meeting was especially wonderful! I left feeling so inspired and spiritually enlightened! I am so deeply grateful for a loving Heavenly Father, and for His great plan of happiness for us. I am thankful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and my membership the Relief Society organization. It inspires me to give more of myself and try to become a kinder, stronger more compassionate woman, mother and wife!
