LIfe in the South: Snow Days!

We started Christmas break a day early here. Yes, another day of cancelled school due to "inclement weather".
And no, it doesn't look like this... darn it!

Our snow storm was more like this...

With this 'dusting' there was just enough snow for two excited little boys to slide around the yard pretending to make snowballs
and more than enough to get school cancelled!
It was also a great excuse to pull out our quilts from Grandma, make lots of hot cocoa and get cozy in front of the fire!

Nope we are not complaining!
Life in the South is pretty sweet!

Cute boys! I wish we had even your skiff of snow... we are supposed to get a few storms this week, but the temps are going to be in the 40s. So probably not much will stick. Bummer. We need a cold spell to make our Christmas stay white!

How is that enough snow to get school cancelled?? LOL!
Was it icy as well? I suppose your area doesn't have a fleet of salt trucks to deal with icy conditions!
