Happy Birthday Tanner Johnn

Where has the time gone? Can my little boy really be 12 already?! I sometimes can't believe that he has been mine for so long. It feels like yesterday that he was a sweet little bundle in my arms! Now he is still sweet but not so little! He is such a charming boy--and very adored by his brothers! Bridger especially hangs on his every word and can hardly wait until 2:45 everyday when he can ride his bike to the end of the road and wait for TJ to get off the bus! Last night I stayed up late blowing up balloons to fill the floor of his room and hang streamers while he slept. Even though I was tired, and my bed was calling, I plugged along hoping my silly little efforts would make him feel special and cherished. My heart was filled with so much love for this son of mine. I fondly remembered the first time I held him in my arms, introducing him to his big brother Connor, how he never walked any where when he was little (always RUNNING) and many other sweet little memories floated through my mind. Even though his strong personality has given me some challenges, how blessed I am to be his Mother! I set my alarm clock just a little early so I could make his favorite breakfast (roll up pancakes) and be the first to wish him a Happy Birthday! He was so happy and appreciative. We talked about checking him out of school for our traditional birthday lunch and where he wanted to go.... Subway, just like last year:) Such an easy going guy! The little boys were in preschool so it was just the two of us this time. It is so rare that I have one on one time with him that I really enjoyed it! At 4pm we headed into Georgia to meet Brad at a Mcdonalds fairly close to his office --not for dinner (ugh) but so he could grab the Birthday boy and a friend of his choice (he choose his big brother Connor) for a trip to Finley Stadium for the Atlanta BRAVES game!! They had awesome tickets right behind home plate! I just talked to them and they are having a blast! (excuse the lovely Iphone shot--Connor was happy--even though this pic doesn't seem like it lol) Tomorrow the celebrations continue...can't wait! Happy Birthday TJ my darling boy! xoxoxoxo

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TJ! We are missing that boy, BIG TIME right now! It was so sweet to hear your thoughts, Melanie. It HAS been such a blessing having that little ball of fire in our family. I sure miss him. I loved the picture at Subway. Boy, he is growing up to such a handsome guy. Give him my love and a hundred kisses from his Grammie.

What a cool post! I love that TJ, too. I remember what a sweet little baby he was, too. Jack reminds me a little of TJ as a toddler... bursting with energy and personality. Oh, I miss him. What a fun birthday he had though! I have a card for him... I need to get it in the mail. :)
